Meet The Team

The Studio was founded by Manchester hairdresser Craig Eaton, a strong advocate for the planet’s sustainability and the knock on effect that consumer consumption has. Wanting to reflect these values at The Studio, Craig and his team wanted this powerful ethical message to continue throughout the work they produce.

The Studio is proudly cruelty free, offers vegan products and stocks a range of zero ammonia colour that is also PPD free, with all their packaging recyclable. You can enjoy your salon experience with a glass of prosecco in a zen space surrounded by plants and essential oils that are available to purchase in house.

Craig

Craig has been working as a hairdresser in central Manchester for over 25 years and is The Studios founder & director. Throughout Craigs career he has a wealth of experience within the TV & film industry, he has worked on countless projects for both small and silver screen. He has styled some of the biggest names in television for dramas shown on everything from BBC to Netflix shows.

Craig has been part of photographic shoots for editorials and haircare campaigns and is highly skilled in wig work and bespoke hair loss systems.

His real passion however is his team, this is where his creativity thrives and his inspiration stems from.

Gillyanne

Gilly is a highly experienced colour director that has a wealth of industry experience through her technical skill & passion for colour. Her accolades include places on the L’Oreal Innovation Team and slottica poland as well as the Toni & Guy Breakthrough Team, in addition to these she won a finalist place in both L’Oreal Colour Trophy and Hair Idol.

Gilly is fanatical about balayage and has even trained on specialist courses at Brick Lanes Not Another Salon to further her balayage skills. Moreover, she is a key team player, believing strongly in collaborating with other stylists and helping with development & education.

The inspiration of organic colour, natural hair and blonde focused colouring makes Gillyanne a contemporary and creative colourist.

Hannah

Hannah started hairdressing as a Saturday girl whilst still at school and proceeded to gain experience from some of the industries best hairdressers. She was a member of the L’Oreal I.D team for 2 years, showcased new trends at live shows and has worked throughout the UK and Europe with haircare brands. As well as a Wella Trendvision finalist 2 years running, Hannah has also worked on shoots for a number of commercials, advertising campaigns and also for film.

Expertly skilled in all areas of her craft she has a flair for tones when working with blonde hair. Hannah also has a passion for cutting, this is where she believes she can create work that really reflects someone’s personal style. Inspired by Scandinavian style, Hannah is not just influenced by whats ‘on trend’ but how other people interpret them, whether that be walking around Manchester to blogs and fashion magazines.

Jess

Jess has 20 years experience within hairdressing and loves working in an industry that is so fast moving. She holds a prestigious L’Oreal colour specialist accolade after completing their highest renowned course and has a passion for all things creative colour. Over the years she has always been driven to keep learning, attending advanced and specialist seminars to keep her present with all aspects of her craft.

Jess specialises in colour, cutting and can dress hair for all occasions, due to her high demand it is recommended to book in advance.

Suzanne

Colour is Suzanne’s speciality and she has 21 years under her belt with her technical knowledge to show for it. She headed straight from school to Vidal Sassoon to do her training and this is where she decided the colourist route was for her.

Pushing her expertise further she has completed extremely advanced technical courses with Wella and L’Oreal, deepening her knowledge in all aspects of colour. Suzanne spent years working at Nicky Clarke and Toni & Guy, where she also played an important part on their teaching & education teams.

Her strengths lie within classic highlighting and the challenge of colour correction, she also has a love for learning new tricks and techniques to bring to her clients.

Bec

Bec has worked in the industry for 12 years starting her career before even leaving school. In her experience to date she has been a member of a number of creative teams for major haircare brands, assisted on countless editorials and worked behind the lens on primetime TV shows for BBC & Channel 4. Bec picked up the gold award for the UK in the Wella Trendvision Runway Award in 2017, which led her to assist backstage at London Fashion Week on the hair team for esteemed session stylist Eugene Souleiman..

Bec specialises in cutting & styling, she is inspired by texture and has a huge interest in session hairdressing. She is passionate about trends, music, media and is also producing & hosting a podcast based around tales from the hairdressing industry.

Simon

Simon’s experience spans over 20 years in hairdressing and along the way he has dabbled in a number of different areas within the industry. As well as having a salon management background he was also a key player in the education team for hair brand Goldwell, teaching as a guest artist in their London flagship academy and being filmed for their education DVD’s.

Simon has worked with education & creative teams multiple times on the industry famous Alterative Hair Show, as well as styling on shoots for Manchester M.E.N editorials.

In his own words he loves’ fixing things’ and has a solution based approach to hair. His skill in classic techniques have led him to be a go to for cutting & colouring correction services.

Olivia

Through her career so far Olivia has always had an enormous drive & pull towards colour. She finds through colouring that she can express maximum creativity. Olivia loves working with her clients to find out exactly how to personalise their hair best suited to them, she aims to help each client express their own personality with unique techniques in colour and cut.

When it comes to her work she takes her inspiration from everyday life from nature to the latest trends.

Olivia is a festival goer, animal lover and all round social butterfly.
